Nigel Preece
Managing Director
After starting out in the financial services industry in 2000 with Blair Dunlop Associates, Nigel achieved the coveted title of Chartered Financial Planner back in 2007. He went further in being appointed a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society.
Following the acquisition by BSG Financial Solutions in 2011 he built his standing to being appointed Managing Director. Nigel is passionate about his clients and likes to be considered as trusted partner to the wider family.
Increasingly his role is in shaping the advice and direction of the business and the excellent advisers and staff who work within the team. He loves building relationships and making a difference in helping clients and their loved ones achieve their financial independence.

Sarah Wichelow
Director
Sarah has been with BSG for 6 years and has achieved the status of a Chartered Financial Planner. In 2022, Sarah was appointed as a Director and is excited to be involved with the future development of BSG.
Sarah is an enthusiastic and hard-working member of the team, who is keen to provide a quality service for our clients. Outside of work, Sarah spends most of her time catching up with friends whilst testing out new places to eat!

Mark Edwards
Business Development Director
Mark has 40 years’ experience within the Financial Services industry and joined BSG in December 2013. Mark believes that customer focused service delivered by talented people is what makes our business great and that our clients are best served when they have the power of a structured team supporting them.
His role has a focus on recruitment and development to ensure we get it right first time. Away from work he enjoys sport, reading, music and walking as key leisure activities as well as the ‘inherited’ childcare responsibility for the grandchildren.

Andy Clitheroe
Employee Benefits Specialist
Andy Clitheroe is BSG's Group Risk Specialist. He has worked within financial services since 1999 and has specialised in Group Risk (employee benefits) for over 15 years. Andy joined the BSG Group at the end of 2011, achieving the Diploma in Financial Planning as well as holding the full Financial Planning Certificate and the Chartered Institute specialist Group Risk examination (GR1).

Eduard Toiny-Pendred
Financial Adviser
Eduard is a Graduate Trainee Financial Planner who joined us in 2023, after achieving a First Class Honours in his Business & Management degree from Derby University. Eduard has obtained the Diploma in Financial Planning and is starting toward his Advanced Financial Planning Certificate on the road to becoming Chartered.
Eduard is keen to focus on his career as a financial planner to become a trusted adviser to his clients. Outside of work Eduard actively participates in sport especially football, and enjoys travel.’

Hazel Slade
Head of Client Support and Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Hazel joined BSG in 2016 and has progressed into a qualified Paraplanner and Mortgage & Protection Adviser. She has achieved her Diploma in Financial Planning and is working towards the Advanced Diploma to attain Chartered status.
Hazel finds her role a rewarding career path and enjoys working closely with our clients to develop relationships and to provide ongoing support. Outside of work, Hazel is usually socialising with family and friends over a nice takeaway.

Sheila Padia
Administrator
Sheila joined BSG in February 2022 as a Financial Administrator on a part time basis. Sheila has previous experience of working for large corporations including Harrods Head office where she held various roles including working with the customer loyalty team and on projects across the business.
She has a degree in Business with Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire. Sheila works alongside our paraplanning team to ensure our clients feel they are in safe hands with us and that their experience with us is a seamless journey.

Liam Bourke
Paraplanner
Liam joined BSG in July 2022 as a Financial Administrator. Liam has previously worked within the John Lewis Partnership across a number of roles which more recently involved being a Team Leader.
Liam works alongside our paraplanning team to ensure our clients feel they are in safe hands with us and that their experience with us is a seamless journey. Outside from work, Liam enjoys socialising with his friends and enjoying the football.

Emma has recently joined BSG as an administrator following successful completion of her BSc Geography degree at the University of Birmingham. With a strong foundation in problem-solving and analytical thinking, she is eager to apply these skills at BSG. Emma is committed to providing a smooth and seamless journey for clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.

Samantha Preece
Client Support and Payroll Administrator
Sam has a passion for great customer service. She has held numerous roles supporting the delivery of such service through Odgers, Harley Street Medical Clinic and more recently the John Lewis Partnership.
Samantha joined BSG in July 2017 in ensuring a consistent delivery of the client experience by assisting Nigel in the non-advisory administration functions of BSG. She has two children and a grandchild.
